The frame is being built inside of the boat to prepare for bottom work. This frame attaches to the stringers that run the length of the boat and will act as a guide while turning the boat over and then will become the stand that the boat will set on once the boat has been flipped.

Currently, our contractor is working on the engine stringer. The back three feet has rot, so that will be replaced with another piece of Douglas Fir. Once this is completed, work will resume on the framework.

Out with the old (and the rot) and in with the new! The picture on the right shows the Douglas Fir piece that replaced the rotten part of the engine stringer. Now, the old framework is serving as a template as each piece is being handcrafted to replace the rotted wood.
